"Dumb Supper" Traditions

I thought witches just mixed up potions and stuff in the big old couldrons...how about whipping up a Dumb Supper? I had never heard of this...sounds like a spin off of the ouigi board...but if you'd like to sit down to dinner with a past loved one...check out this article that I found.

Trends in Halloween

...today's Hallmark-approved, TV special-packed, sanitized and ready-to-go Horror Lite is missing something. Like the rest of the major holidays (and quite a few of the minor ones), Halloween today seems to be a slicked-up, white bread, Disneyfied version of its former self.
-James Lileks, in his editorial column, "Backfence," for the Minneapolis Star Tribune

I have 2 days to get this blog decorated for the Halloween Party. I can't add a black background to get things all SPOOKY because it will mess up my settings,so I am looking for other ways to get my WITCH on....I just love witches!!

The top one is from Belinda -crazyartgirl and is full of great gaming pieces and the second is from Erica Faith using charms made by other artists from previous charm swaps...very creative mix. Thankyou girls!

Grungeboard™ "Just Grunge It"

Just when you think you have spent enough $$ on products to try out...here comes another!! This is Tim Holtz's new stuff...and we all like what he brings to the table. Here's his video that explains and shows what it is...notice the distressed crackle paint and how cool are the hinge elements...can't wait!!

Halloween Charms

My entries to the Halloween Charm Swap at Trends...these were sure fun and easy to make. Just white sculpy clay, a little carving for that 'Day of the Dead' look, antiqued in black and they are good to go! Boo!!

Virtual Halloween Pumpkin (Share with the kids!)

Click on the main picture of the mural to get a closeup or getter yet,go to the website. You can click on the individual tiles and see how each is an artwork of it's own. Do the horses EYE!!
