I received a Tip In today. The theme for my altered book is History....old west and US history. The challenge was to add a horse or horses.
Nancy Bridges from South Carolina sent me this wonderful watercolor Tip In.
I think she nailed the theme...
The quote says,
"Look back at our struggle for freedom,
Trace our present day's strength to it's sources
and you'll find that
man's pathway to glory is strewn
with the bones of the horse." ~ Author Unknown
Nancy, thankyou!
You sure want to go visit her blog if you get a chance!

Hi, Arlene! Wow! This is gorgeous! What a treasure to have received in the mail! :-)
I am really interested in the board you use. What do you do about hangers on the backs of your pieces?
Mary
Mary..
Hangers? The front and back surfaces are solid and the inside is like expandable foam.
I cover it completely with paper and glue which also firms it even more.
Hangers can be done alot of different ways. If you don't want it to show, you can use a wire band and just poke it
through the back surface and bend it up, you could poke in brads and use string or ribbon. you could glue a sawtoothe hanger.
You could also poke into the sides and then glue just like you would do any other canvas. I've used fencing staples even.
Thanks for visiting my blog often and commenting...I really appreciate it!
